Juillet est traditionnellement une période creuse niveau sorties, et oui, les gens des maisons d’édition ont le droit d’aller glander à la plage aussi. on aura quand même droit à deux sorties intéressantes en VF grâce à nos indés préférés. Après Le sang des parangons, toujours pas lu pour ma part mais il attend son tour, Pierre Grimbert revient dans son univers pour un second round avec L’âme des parangons ! Tout ce que je peux dire, c’est que les couvertures sont toujours aussi classes.
Résumé :
On les avait condamnés au bagne, sans espoir de retour. Une centaine d’hommes et de femmes, enchaînés, alignés dans le convoi les menant vers leur dernière demeure. Des individus issus de tous les royaumes, et coupables – le plus souvent – des crimes dont on les accusait. Mais au cours de cet ultime voyage, le destin devait en décider autrement.

Ah ça faisait longtemps que je voulais lire Bluebird, et une sortie VF est la bonne occasion. Pourquoi ? Vous demandez-vous, c’est de la SF, l’ours, ressaisis-toi ! Mais simplement parce que j’ai entendu l’autrice parler de ses influences dans cet excellent podcast, et elle l’a très bien vendu.

J’avais pas particulièrement noté cette sortie jusqu’à ce que la couverture soit révélée et le rendu m’épate pas mal donc je me suis penché dessus et ça peut être bien, alors c’est noté dans le radar. M. L. Wang a été remarquée par beaucoup de lecteurices avec son roman Sword of Kagen, donc tout le monde l’attend au tournant pour le prochain ! Même si depuis elle publie des séries au format épisodiques via son patreon, Blood over bright haven est sa première sortie en un volume depuis, et ça se passe dans un autre univers, dans une ambiance Dark Academia qui n’a rien à voir avec Sword of Kagen.
